It’s well established that community recovery is a long-term journey. In addition to this, we have moved into an era of cascading disasters.
Having assisted many communities and organisations throughout Australia, I provide tailored preparedness and recovery advice to organisations, agencies, as well as local and state governments. I also know from first-hand experiences that for those working closely with affected communities, preserving and strengthening wellbeing can sometimes feel like an incredibly difficult if not impossible task.
My broad range of services and supports include:
- Workshops and training sessions for staff
- Individual and small group debriefs
- Consultation and mentoring of team members and leadership
- Wellbeing approaches that promote mentally and emotionally healthy workplaces
- Workplace employee assistance program (EAP)
- Development of trauma informed practices
Horses and Humans
With a strong understanding of the challenges faced by professionals in the disaster sector, I have co-created the Horses and Humans Wellbeing Day. Taking place on a small, picturesque farm about 45 minutes from Melbourne, this full day experience combines practical horse connection activities, mindful meditations, guided journaling, and small group discussion.
Supported by a small herd of Icelandic Horses, an experienced equine facilitated teacher and myself, we bring awareness to the importance of slowing down, reflecting and connecting. In this increasingly complex, time poor and uncertain world, this is a wonderful opportunity to hold some space for yourself.
If you are interested in being part of the next Horses and Humans Wellbeing Day, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Alternatively, if you are a manager or leader, workplace teams can be catered for at specific request.
